Finally some cooler weather!
This last week I was finally able to run in better weather for the first time in months. It wasn't that cool weather came to south Texas just yet--but this week was less hot, less humid, and had just a hint of cool breeze in the early mornings.
Saturday's 8 mile long run did not quite enjoy the weather from earlier in the week, but it was definitely less hot and less humid than it had been. Consequently, I was able to run at a speed I had not reached for a long run in months without feeling like I was trying to hit maximum on the heart rate monitor.
I am trying to pick my swimming back up after a long layoff. I am now swimming around 800 meters twice a week--not too fast, but I am getting it done.
